AI CODE DETECTOR GUIDE

Why does an AI code detector score change when you add code?

Because the score reflects the configured code-style rules that match the code currently supplied. Adding lines can add or change matched rules and flagged lines; it does not reveal who wrote the code.

In Is My Code AI, analysis stays in your browser.

The report describes the input in front of it

Is My Code AI analyzes the code you provide in the current browser session. Its report shows a heuristic score, matched rules, and flagged lines for that input. When the input changes, the set of visible patterns can change too.

A result for one function is therefore a result for that function. It does not automatically describe the rest of a file, a repository, or a previous version of the code.

Look at what changed underneath the score

The score is a summary. To understand why it moved, compare the matched rules and flagged lines from the current input with the code you added. A new comment, identifier, or error message can be enough to produce a different set of heuristic matches.

Read those matches in their local context. A code-style pattern can be intentional, part of a project convention, or part of reusable scaffolding.

A changed score is not an authorship conclusion

Adding code can change a heuristic result without changing the origin of any code. The report does not prove that a person wrote the code, that AI wrote it, or that a specific AI product was involved.

Use the score to decide where to examine the code more closely, then use the surrounding implementation and project context for the review that follows.

Review locally

You can paste code, choose supported source files, or select a local folder. Submitted code is not uploaded by this static site; analysis runs in the current browser. The language picker supports Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, PHP, and C#.

Open the browser-based AI code detector to view the current score, matched rules, and flagged lines locally.
