AI CODE DETECTOR GUIDE
Can an AI code detector scan a whole project folder?
Is My Code AI can read supported source files from a folder you choose, but the scan has file and size limits and evaluates each file separately. It does not analyze an unlimited repository as one connected project.
The selected files are read in your browser; this static site does not upload submitted code.
What the folder scan accepts
The current interface allows up to 100 supported files at a time. Each file must be 1 MB or smaller, the selected files together must total 5 MB or less, and each source file can contain up to 10,000 lines. Files whose extensions are not supported are skipped.
The language picker supports Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, PHP, and C#. Check the file picker on the detector page for the extensions it currently accepts.
How results are organized
Each accepted file receives its own heuristic score and matched-rule label. The batch summary lists the results by file name. The detailed highlighted-line view shows the first selected file, so it is not a combined map of every match across the folder.
To inspect a particular file's flagged lines, select that file on its own and run the report again. Keep the file name with the result so you know which source it describes.
What a folder scan does not tell you
The rules run on each file's text. A batch does not explain relationships between files, trace a value through the project, or establish whether a style pattern came from a person or an AI tool. A flagged line is a heuristic match to read in context.
If your project exceeds the current limits, choose a smaller relevant set of supported files or inspect files one at a time. A narrower input changes the scope of the report, so record what you selected when comparing results.
Start a local folder review
Open the AI code detector, choose a local folder, and review the per-file summary. The report shows matched heuristic rules and flagged lines; it is not proof of authorship. For file choices, see supported programming languages, and for the score, read what an AI code detector score means.
