AI Code Detector Runs in your browser

AI CODE DETECTOR GUIDE

Can an AI code detector scan code from a screenshot?

Is My Code AI cannot scan a screenshot directly. Its current input accepts pasted code and supported text or source files; it has no image-reading or OCR step.

Code text is analyzed in your browser; submitted code is not uploaded.

Why a screenshot is different from source text

A screenshot contains pixels that depict characters. This detector evaluates code text, and its file picker accepts supported source extensions and plain text rather than image formats. Selecting a picture therefore does not turn the visible characters into code for analysis.

The current language picker covers Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, PHP, and C#. The file picker lists supported code extensions plus .txt; unsupported file types are skipped.

If the only copy is an image

Convert the image to text with a tool you trust, then review the transcription against the screenshot before pasting it here. OCR can confuse visually similar characters, indentation, punctuation, or line breaks, and those differences can change what text is evaluated. This is a practical input-quality precaution, not an OCR feature of Is My Code AI.

If you can access the original source, use that text or select its supported local file instead. The detector's heuristic score and flagged lines are review signals, not proof of who wrote the code.

Keep the result in context

The report reflects configured code-style rules that match the text you supplied. It does not verify that an OCR transcription is complete or establish authorship. Check the input and surrounding code before interpreting any matched signal.
